Kalam House, batting first, struggled against Hamdan’s phenomenal bowling and sharp fielding. They were bowled out for just 36 runs in 5 overs.

Chasing the target, Hamdan House dominated from the start. Hazim of Class 6A turned the match into a spectacle, smashing 3 sixes and a four to seal victory in just 3 overs.

Fireless Cooking Competition (Grades 9–12) 

Creativity met culinary skills as students from Grades 9–12 participated in the Fireless Cooking Competition. The much-awaited Girls’ Final Cricket Match (Grades IX–XII) between Hamdan House and Iqbal House on 22nd August 2025 turned out to be a true nail-biter!

Batting first, Iqbal House showcased sheer power, posting a competitive 112 runs in 10 overs, with Madihah smashing an outstanding 68 runs.

 In response, Hamdan House fought bravely, with Sahiba  scoring a valiant 57 runs, but their innings ended at 108 runs—just 4 runs short!

Hamdan House won the toss and elected to bowl first under perfect weather conditions . Iqbal House, carrying their momentum from previous victories, delivered a dominant batting performance. With precision, power, and teamwork, they posted an imposing total of 159 runs in 10 overs. The standout performer was Mehran (Class 10th), who played a brilliant knock of 41 runs, anchoring the innings with confidence and class .

Chasing a challenging target, Hamdan House began their innings with determination. Their chase was led by an outstanding innings from Kousar Mushtaq (Class 10th-D), who scored a magnificent 72 runs, thrilling the audience with elegant strokes and fearless shots. Despite his heroic effort, Hamdan House finished at 137 runs in 10 overs, falling 22 runs short of the target 

With this emphatic victory, Iqbal House was crowned the Champion of the Inter-House Cricket Tournament 2025 .

The match was smoothly officiated by Mr. Irfan Khan and Mr. Mohammad Iqbal , with Mr. Zubair Ahmad Lone diligently handling the scoring duties , and Mr. Mohammad Rafiq as the third umpire . Engaging commentary by Ms. Farheen and Mr. Bilal Wani  added excitement to every ball and boundary, keeping the spectators hooked from start to finish.

The ground was a visual delight, adorned with house flags and echoing with roars of support from the student crowd. On Friday, the cricket field at DPS Baramulla hosted an exciting match between Kalam House and Hamdaan House, filled with high energy and fierce competition!  Hamdaan House won the toss and chose to bowl first, setting the stage for a thrilling contest. Kalam House, with grit and determination, managed to score 57 runs in 7 overs.

Hamdaan House, however, chased down the target with precision, securing victory by 4 wickets in 6.4 overs.  The match was expertly officiated by umpires Mr. Irfan and Mr. Iqbal, while Mr. Bilal Wani and Mr. Rafiq Bhat provided live commentary, adding to the excitement of the event.  Mr. Zubair Ahmed kept score, ensuring every run and wicket was accurately recorded.

The students were in full cheer mode, rallying behind their teams with boundless enthusiasm!  Their cheers and support created an electrifying atmosphere that made the day even more memorable. The match not only showcased great sportsmanship but also strengthened the spirit of teamwork and house pride. A fantastic event all around!

Delhi Public School Baramulla celebrated the vibrant festival of Baisakhi with immense enthusiasm and festive spirit. The celebration was marked by a series of colorful and energetic performances that showcased the cultural richness of the festival.

Students were visibly thrilled to be part of the celebration, and their enthusiasm lit up the whole program. The school premises echoed with the spirit of togetherness and cultural pride, making the Baisakhi Utsav a memorable event for all.

The Holi celebration of 2025 at Delhi Public School was a vibrant and joyful event, bringing together students and teachers in a spirit of unity and festivity. Today, we embarked on an exciting trip to the Bipin Rawant Stadium with a group of 10 students from Orchid, Homi Bhabha, Einstein, and Ambhani classes. Accompanied by four teachers - Ms. Tahira, Ms. Athara, Ms. Inderpreet, and Ms. Qamar - we arrived at 2:17 pm.

The students were thrilled to experience a cricket ground for the first time, and we were honored to meet Mr. Zubair, General Secretary of the BCF, and renowned cricketer Mr. Jahangir. We presented them with bouquets and cards.

Mr. Zubair engaged the students in a lively discussion about their favorite cricketers, and each student responded confidently. After a fantastic visit, we departed the stadium at 2:45 pm.

Sur Vahar – A Musical Bonanza, a captivating cultural event showcasing a variety of performances was held today in the central courtyard. The event featured:

The event was organized by the Department of Music & Dance and highlighted the school’s commitment to fostering the overall development of its students. DPS Baramulla continues to provide a platform for nurturing talents in music, dance, arts, and sports, alongside a strong focus on academic excellence, helping students grow into well-rounded individuals.

These exams will also inculcate in them a sense of seriousness towards their career goals in future and will guide them in the future course of time. Our purpose is to make them aware of these exams which they are likely to appear in the future and to make them acquaint with the different exams, patterns and their selection processes.

Baramulla youth create world record!! More than 11000 youth participate in "Kashur Riwaj" the world's largest Kashmiri Folk Dance (Rouf) event at Sports Stadium, Baramulla! Celebrating the Rich heritage of Kashmir. Around 112 students from DPS Baramulla also participated on the occasion!

The magical touch of star music maestro Waqar Khan added an unforgettable melody to the festive air at Delhi Public School, Baramulla.

Embarking on a journey of winter wonder, the 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙖𝙢 𝘿𝙋𝙎- 𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 unfolded as a tapestry of joy and merriment. A myriad of stalls, each a kaleidoscope of offerings, beckoned attendees into a realm of delights. From the savory aromas of diverse cuisines to the vibrant hues of clothing, games that sparked laughter, books that whispered creativity, toys that promised enchantment, and sports items that hinted at adventure—the carnival was a treasure trove of experiences.

Amidst the stalls, the Calligraphy Haven stood as a sanctuary of artistic expression, where ink danced upon paper, transforming words into visual poetry. Skilled hands crafted intricate designs, adding an extra layer of elegance to the festive atmosphere.

As the clock struck 11, the enchanting notes of Waqar Khan's music echoed through the carnival grounds. The maestro's performance was a midday crescendo, filling the air with melodies that wove seamlessly into the fabric of the day. 

It was a colossal success, a testament to the unity and exuberance that filled the winter air. A celebration that transcended boundaries, embracing the magic of winter with open arms. In every stall, every note of music, every stroke of calligraphy, and every shared smile, the spirit of togetherness blossomed, creating memories as timeless as the falling snowflakes. DPS Baramulla's annual community service made a positive impact today with a thorough cleanliness drive in key areas of Baramulla's market in collaboration with Municipal Council Baramulla. The cleanliness drive was led jointly by Worthy Principal DPS Baramulla and officials from MC Baramulla & Baramulla Police. Areas like Main Chowk, Tehsil Chowk, Cement Bridge Road, Old Hospital Road, Tehsil Premises, Roads near Tehsil Premises, and the Vegetable Market all received attention during this commendable initiative.
